    Morkel returns as SA bowl

South Africa have won the toss and elected to bowl in the third ODI against England at Lord’s.

England hold an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-game series, after winning the matches in Leeds and Southampton. Today’s game will be an important one for South Africa, though. The match at Lord’s will serve as one final hit-out before their Champions Trophy campaign commences on Saturday.

Proteas captain AB de Villiers said at the toss that the pitch should favour the side bowling first. For the third time in the series, England skipper Eoin Morgan said that he too would have bowled first if given the option.

As expected, the Proteas have recalled fast bowler Morné Morkel. JP Duminy and Wayne Parnell have also been handed an opportunity ahead of the Champions Trophy tournament. Farhaan Behardien, Dwaine Pretorius, and Andile Phehlukwayo, who all featured in the second ODI at Southampton, will sit out.

ENGLAND: 1 Jason Roy, 2 Alex Hales, 3 Joe Root, 4 Eoin Morgan (c), 5 Jonny Bairstow, 6 Jos Buttler (wk), 7 Adil Rashid, 8 David Willey, 9 Toby Roland-Jones 10 Steven Finn, 11 Jake Ball

SOUTH AFRICA: 1 Quinton de Kock (wk), 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 AB de Villiers (c), 5 David Miller, 6 JP Duminy, 7 Chris Morris, 8 Wayne Parnell, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Keshav Maharaj
