The Proteas need six more Bangladesh wickets to win the Test in Bloemfontein and claim a 2-0 series victory. JON CARDINELLI reports.

Bangladesh have shown more fight in their second innings than they did in their first. The tourists went to lunch on day three with the score at 92-4.

That said, it’s a matter of when, rather than if South Africa can claim the remaining wickets and secure the result.  Indeed, the hosts are still favourites to end Bangladesh’s resistance and win the game inside three days.

Rabada struck twice in the first hour of play; removing Soumya Sakar and the potentially dangerous Mominul Haque. That performance boosted Rabada’s match tally to seven and his career tally to 99 Test wickets. The South African fast bowler will have the opportunity to reach two milestones later today.

Duanne Olivier had Imrul Hayes caught down the leg side later in the session. Wayne Parnell struck right before lunch when captain Mushfiqur Rahim padded up to a straight delivery and was given out lbw.

Bangladesh would do well to take the game into the fourth day from here.
