Farhaan Behardien Behardien in as Proteas bat

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bowl in the second ODI against Bangladesh in Paarl.

The Proteas thrashed Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the first match of the three-game series on Sunday. The Tigers need to win today’s match at Boland Park to keep the series alive.

South Africa coach Ottis Gibson has made just one change to the side that featured in Kimberley. Farhaan Behardien has come in for batsman David Miller, who is struggling with an injury.

The likes of AB de Villiers and JP Duminy will be hoping for an opportunity to bat. Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla racked up a 282-run partnership for the first wicket to steer the hosts to victory in the first ODI.

Dane Paterson, who went for 69 runs in his nine overs, and Andile Phehlukwayo, who leaked 60 in 10, will have a chance to redeem themselves on the bowling front.

South Africa: 1 Quinton de Kock (wk), 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Faf du Plessis (c) 4 AB de Villiers, 5 JP Duminy, 6 Farhaan Behardien, 7 Andile Phehlukwayo, 8 Dwaine Pretorius, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10 Dane Paterson, 11 Imran Tahir

Bangladesh: 1 Imrul Kayes, 2 Liton Das (wk), 3 Shakib al Hasan, 4 Mushfiqur Rahim, 5 Nasir Hossain, 6 Sabbir Rahman, 7 Mahmudullah, 8 Tamim Iqbal, 9 Mashrafe Mortaza (c), 10 Rubel Hossain, 11 Taskin Ahmed
