    Miller smashes Levi's record

David Miller Miller smashes Levi's record
    Published on October 29, 2017 | Leave a response

David Miller’s recording-breaking knock of 101 in the second T20I in Potchefstroom is our Play of the Day.

Proteas batsman Richard Levi smashed 117 against New Zealand in 2012. Until this Sunday, Levi held the record for the fastest century in T20I cricket.

Miller took 35 deliveries to reach the three-figure mark in Potchefstroom. He smashed Levi’s record by 10 balls.

Needless to say, the Tigers will regret dropping Miller on 0.

REPORT: Miller powers SA to series win

When Hashim Amla departed for 85 in the 17th over, Miller proceeded to take control as the Proteas’ senior batsman. He brought up his half-century in 24 balls.

It took the powerful left-hander 11 more deliveries to reach his maiden T20I ton. That effort included five consecutive sixes in the 19th over. Mohammad Saifuddin leaked 31 runs in that over.

Miller’s 101 not out is the fourth-highest score by a South African in T20I cricket.
