    Morris returns as SA bat

Chris Morris celebrates a wicket Morris returns as SA bat
    Published on February 16, 2018 | Leave a response

India have won the toss and put South Africa in to bat in the sixth ODI at Centurion.

India thumped South Africa by 73 runs in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday to take a 4-1 lead in the six-game ODI series. There will be nothing, bar a bit of pride, at stake at Centurion today.

South Africa may feel that a 4-2 series result looks a lot better than 5-1. Coach Ottis Gibson has brought Chris Morris back into the lineup, and has decided to give Kagiso Rabada a rest.

JP Duminy and David Miller make way for Khaya Zondo and Farhaan Behardien respectively. The fourth change sees Imran Tahir playing ahead of Tabraiz Shamsi.

While Morris’ return will boost the batting, there may still be some concerns over a lower order that includes Morne Morkel, Tahir, and Lungi Ngidi at 9, 10, and 11 respectively.

At the toss, India captain Virat Kohli said that the visitors were looking forward to chasing on this wicket later today. Proteas skipper Aiden Markram said that his side was simply aiming to produce a good all-round performance.

SA vs India: 6th ODI preview

India have made just one change. Shardul Thakur comes in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

South Africa: 1 Hashim Amla, 2 Aiden Markram (c), 3 AB de Villiers, 4 Khaya Zondo, 5 Fahraan Behardien, 6 Heinrich Klaasen (wk), 7 Chris Morris, 8 Andile Phehlukwayo, 9 Morne Morkel, 10 Imran Tahir, 11 Lungi Ngidi

India: 1 Rohit Sharma, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Virat Kohli (c), 4 Ajinkya Rahane, 5 Shreyas Iyer, 6 MS Dhoni (wk), 7 Hardik Pandya, 8 Kuldeep Yadav, 9 Shardul Thakur, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal.
