BATSMAN OF THE DAY
While Marlon Samuels battled to deal with the pace and length of Morné Morkel, he was the best batsman on show. His determined efforts ensured that the West Indies remained in the contest, at least for a period.
Simon Harmer went for runs in his first spell, but fought back to claim the prize scalp of Marlon Samuels. He went on to take two more wickets in the session, finishing with figures of 4-82 in the innings, and 7-153 in the match.

Marlon Samuels took on Simon Harmer during the off-spinner’s first spell of the day. The big six over straight mid-on was a highlight.
DELIVERY OF THE DAY
In the third over of the day, Morné Morkel hit the perfect length and got Leon Johnson to edge the ball to first slip.
CALL OF THE DAY
Shivnarine Chanderpaul was given out caught behind by umpire Paul Reiffel in the 49th over. Immediately and somewhat aggressively, Chanderpaul signalled for a review. He was vindicated when replays showed that the Dale Steyn delivery had brushed his trouser pocket rather than his bat.

48.3 overs were bowled in the one and only session on day four. The session lasted four hours.
